Fishing Charters

Charter fishing around the Cape and Islands lasts from May through October. Early in the season Big Bass are running strong around Martha's Vineyard and the Elizabeth Islands. When fishing for Stripers we can use any technique you would prefer: jigging, fly fishing, drifting, bait, or spin casting. Some work better than others at different times of the year.

In June Bluefish hit the scene, and your lures, with a pound for pound fight that you will not soon forget. Fishing for Bluefish with light tackle, spin casters, and trolling are extremely effective and fun.

In the warmer months of summer, when the water temperatures climb, the more exotic fish (such as Bonito, Tuna, and sometimes Mahi Mahi) join the festivities. Bonito are one of the more difficult fish to entire with a lure or a piece of bait, but when you get hold of one, you are in for the ride of your life. Bonito are mostly caught on light tackle, spin casting or trolling.

Yellow Fin Tuna often venture into the south shore waters off Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. When chasing tuna, trolling and bait drifting do the trick best. Bass and Bluefish are avalible all season long.
